MinnieSex: Female
Age: 2 years old Experience needed: Hedgehog experience is a plus but not required Minnie's story is a sad one that happens far too often. Her owners got a puppy and decided they didn't need two pets so she got surrendered here. She is a very cute standard gray female with a dark mask. She's a young adult, just under a year and a half. When it comes to temperament, she is typically easy to handle, only balls up when first grabbed, quickly unrolls, and is content to socialize with people, but at times you can tell her quills aren't completely laid back indicating she's a tad on edge still and hasn't grown to fully trust us quite yet. She's a newer surrender and only very recently completed her quarantine period so she's still adjusting and may take a few weeks to bond with her new owners and fully relax for them. But she's easy to handle even before reaching that point, and she will make a great pet. She is healthy with no apparent medical needs. She is an appropriate weight, eats well, and enjoys her wheel. Of the four females, she seems to be the most active and plays around a bit more than the others do. She does not require an adopter with hedgehog experience, but it is always a plus. Minnie's adoption fee is a $60 donation to our rescue's vet fund. * All of our current female rescues (Cactus, Minnie, and Hazel) have spent time together after completing their quarantine periods and being confirmed to be healthy. They all get along well and could cohabitate, so we would be open to an adopter bringing home more than one if they wanted to. |
