Our babies are all $300. Reduced prices apply to older hogs, hogs with less desirable temperaments or colorings, rescues, and for customers who had to wait longer than usual for an appointment.
We are usually making enough babies to set up immediate appointments for our customers when they call, but if we are in between litters, you still should not have to wait more than 1-2 weeks.
Our litters are first come, first serve.
There is no deposits and no commitment. You are not obligated to leave with a hedgehog. We want all our customers to be completely comfortable and positive before they leave with one of our hoglets.
We are only able to take cash at this time. We will however always have change if you need it.
` Exchanges, Refunds, and Surrenders:
More than anything, we want our customers happy and our hogs well-loved, so we are the ONLY breeders in the tristate area that offer these exchange/refund policies. All other breeders have an "all sales final" policy with no cash refunds or exchanges.
If you decide that you are unhappy with your hedgehog, we will let you exchange it for a new baby within a week of the date you purchased it. If we don't have the color or gender you prefer at that time, you can bring your hog back and come for your replacement hoglet when we have what you're looking for available.
If you decide you no longer want a hedgehog at all in the first week, we can refund you half of the purchase price of your hedgie and retain custody of your hoglet. It is not safe to rehome a hoglet once it has left our home as we don't know what it was exposed to, what it was fed, or how it was cared for when it was with you. So we usually end up keeping any exchanged babies as pets or rehoming way later after a quarantine period. Because of that, we cannot supply you with a full refund.
We cannot re-sell or re-use starter kits when a hedgehog is returned, so we cannot refund you for the kit.
If it is over the one week time limit and you want to surrender your hog, we will take it back so long as it is in good health. We cannot offer an exchange or refund at that point unless there are extenuating circumstances. But we will always be willing to take unwanted hogs back and give them a good home.
Our hedgehogs are guaranteed to be healthy at the time of adoption. We look them all over before they leave, and encourage their new owners to do the same when they're here.
We know the bloodlines of all of our hedgies and most of the babies leaving our home don't only have their parents on premises, but their grandparents and sometimes great-grandparents here as well. If your vet finds a genetic health problem (i.e Wobbly Hedgehog Syndrome) at any time in your hog's life and confirms this with us, we will replace your hedgie immediately. We have never had this happen but any reputable breeder will have this guarantee.
Anybody adopting one of our hedgies must be willing & able to provide it with veterinary care when needed. They are hardy animals but any animal can get sick or injured. We encourage customers to think about the possible cost of medical care before bringing one of our babies home.
All of our babies are treated with Revolution Mite Preventive prior to leaving our home. We have never experienced mites as we treat every animal in our home regularly. Revolution should last around 6 months. You should have your vet continue to treat them with Revolution as they get older. If you are local, we can renew your hog's Revolution for free.
All buyers of our hoglets must understand and follow our no-breeding policy. Breeding hedgehogs is NOT easy, and an inexperienced breeder can cause irreparable harm and even death to our hedgehogs. We care about every animal that we raise, and the slightest mistake you make breeding could kill a hedgehog.
We do not sell wholesale hedgehogs or to breeders. Our hedgehogs are pet-only.
We can only home multiple hedgehogs to a family if they are all the same sex.
