Pricing and Waiting Lists:
  • Our babies are all $300. Reduced prices apply to previous customers - and occasionally to older hogs, hogs with less desirable temperaments or colorings, rescues, and for customers who had to wait longer than usual for an appointment. Anyone buying more than one baby will have $50 taken off of the second.
  • We are usually able to set up immediate appointments for our customers when they call, but if we are in between litters, you still should not have to wait more than a couple weeks.
  • Our litters are first come, first serve. We do not believe in choosing through photos as all hedgies have different personalities and it's best to come and handle them all in person before picking your baby.
  • There are no deposits and you are not obligated to leave with a hedgehog. We encourage customers to go sleep on it if they seem unsure or nervous. We don't want our babies to go home with anyone who is not completely comfortable and positive that hedgies are the right pets for them.
  • We are only able to take cash, Venmo, CashApp, Paypal, and Zelle.

Exchanges, Refunds, and Surrenders
:
  • More than anything, we want our customers happy and our hogs well-loved, so we are the ONLY breeders in the tristate area that offer these exchange/refund policies. All other breeders have an "all sales final" policy with no cash refunds or exchanges.
  • If you decide that you are unhappy with your hedgehog, we will let you exchange it for a new baby within a week of the date you purchased it. If we don't have the color or gender you prefer at that time, you can bring your hog back and come for your replacement hoglet when we have what you're looking for available.
  • If you decide you no longer want a hedgehog at all in the first week, we can refund you half of the purchase price of your hedgie and retain custody of your hoglet. We have to follow specific quarantine protocol when this is done. It's not safe to immediately rehome a hoglet once it has left our home as we don't know what it was exposed to, what it was fed, or how it was cared for when it was with you. So we usually keep returned babies as pets or rehome them way later as rescues after their quarantine period and a vet check. We've had several returned hedgies come back with injuries or illnesses obtained in the week away, which causes us significant vet bills. Because of the work and effort involved in all of this, we cannot provide you with a full refund.
  • We cannot re-sell starter kits or supplies when a hedgehog is returned, so we can't provide refunds for any of that.
  • If it is over the one week time limit and you want to surrender your hog at any point in it's life, we can still take them in. We cannot offer an exchange or refund at that point unless there are extenuating circumstances. But we will always be willing to take unwanted hogs back and give them a good home.
Health Guarantee:
  • Our hedgehogs are guaranteed to be healthy at the time of adoption. We look them all over before they leave, and encourage their new owners to do the same when they're here.
  • We know the bloodlines of all of our hedgies and most of the babies leaving our home don't only have their parents on premises, but their grandparents and sometimes great-grandparents here as well. We attempt to breed only healthy bloodlines but genetics are sometimes unpredictable, so if your vet ever did find any genetic health problem (i.e Wobbly Hedgehog Syndrome or internal defects) at any time in your hog's life and confirms this with us, we will replace your hedgie immediately for free.
  • We cannot provide guarantees against cancer or any other common, non-genetic condition.
  • If your hedgehog later ends up with a non-genetic issue that we cannot prevent (i.e upper respiratory infections, broken bones, mites, prolapses, etc), it is the owner's responsibility to treat it. We cannot provide refunds or exchanges due to a random, non-genetic issue. However, we will always be here to give you any advice you may need and help direct you to good veterinary professionals.
  • Anybody adopting one of our hedgies must be willing and able to provide it with veterinary care when needed. They are generally hardy but any animal can get sick or injured. We encourage customers to think about the possible cost of medical care before bringing a hedgie home.

Breeding:
  • All buyers of our hoglets must understand and follow our no-breeding policy. Breeding hedgehogs is NOT easy, and an inexperienced breeder can cause irreparable harm and even death to our hedgehogs. We care about every animal that we raise, and the slightest mistake you make breeding could kill our babies.
  • We do not sell wholesale hedgehogs or to breeders. Our hedgehogs are pet-only.
  • We can only home multiple hedgehogs to a family if they are all the same sex. We prefer to home female pairs as they are more likely to get along with one another and can cohabitate in the majority of cases, especially when put together from a young age. While some people have also successfully kept males together when starting from a young age, it often can end in fights over territory or dominance so we don't recommend it. Male pairs can still go to the same home but we heavily recommend separate enclosures and no shared play time. We will not make exceptions to the male/female pair rule even if you promise to keep them in separate enclosures or rooms. Hedgehogs are induced ovulators and could breed even if around each other accidentally for a very short period of time.
